Our Story
Dimitri Panzer was the son of Hungarian immigrants. In 1978 he opened a delicatessen at 26 rue des Rosiers that would become, within a few years, the Ashkenazi reference of the Marais. People came from all over Paris for his pickelfleisch, his malossol pickles, his Cracow sausage that many copied without ever matching it.
The rue des Rosiers shop closed its doors in 2014. The house itself did not stop. Nicolas Panzer took up his father's apron and moved the delicatessen to avenue Paul Doumer, with his wife Fleur. Same recipes, same gestures, same standards.
Dimitri passed away in 2019. What he handed down is still being sliced every morning, behind the counter.

The Pastrami
The spiced version of the beef brisket, pepper and coriander. To be served warm, in a sandwich, on rye bread.

The House Today
Nicolas and Fleur Panzer welcome you at 36 avenue Paul Doumer, a short walk from the Trocadéro. Takeaway, Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 7pm, Friday from 9am to 2pm. Closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
